On This New Year's Eve....

On this New Year's Eve I would like to thank those who take a moment out of their day to read the simple happenings here in my life. A special thanks to those of you who leave comments, as I enjoy reading those more than I can tell you. You provide encouragement for my photography and joy in blogging friendship.

May you all have a truly wonderful and prosperous New Year in 2011.

I will leave you with this quote that I shared with my dad over the Christmas holiday. I hope to adhere to it myself this coming year.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

  12. Happy New Year From Southern California.

Don't forget to watch the 122nd Rose Parade on New Year's Day coming from Pasadena, California...only 30 miles from The Old Geezer's home :-) If you miss the live telecast, I'm sure there will be lots of reruns through out the day.

  15. Thanks for the quote, I will probably steal it and put it on my blog (I promise to link it back to your site)! Earlier tonite I read one my Erma Bombeck. I am not one to make new years resolutions but quotes such as this really connect with my soul and helps me to go each day with the purpose they intend. Thank you so much for sharing, I feel it is a real reflection of who you are too, generous, loving and caring. Blessings my friend, Marla
