Days where the only person to drive down our small country road would be our mail lady. Days full of blue skies and no schedule. Time to sleep late, hang out with the kids and not have a care.
So, I took some time this weekend to hang out with my #1 pool buddy, Toots.
Also my #2 pool buddy.
And, we can't have a hot, southern afternoon by the pool without Ski in a mason jar and maybe a little Zac Brown to round it all out.
I'm missing the lazy days, but I think I would like mine a bit cooler like last week rather than all this heat. Glad you were able to capture some fun in these "last days" of summer!
ReplyDeleteNope, not missing summer as it's still here, full blown, hotter than normal, etc. I'm a fall gal anyway, that's when I really get out and bloom.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. I was in school all summer, so I didn't have much of a summer. But it was more relaxed than the rest of the year. I just wish it hadn't been so dang hot.
ReplyDeleteIt's still hot here in Fayette Co - last week was nice Indian Summer. I just hate to see the Summer end even though it was/is so hot. Fall, to me means that Winter is coming, which is not my favorite time of the year because of the cold and dark days and early nights. And the end of Summer means the end of major harvesting on farms and in gardens, and I'll miss that, too. Glad you were able to spend time with loved ones, good pop, and good music. Take care, from a fella-KYian.
ReplyDeleteThe lazy days , yes, but not the heat! Actually, it has been mild except for a week or two and it is very cool this morning...only 60 right now! I do love Fall though...it is my favorite season here!
ReplyDeleteSince I'd been down a great part of my summer with the dang shingles, I feel as thought summer has passed me by. I want a do-over! Heeehehehe
ReplyDeleteGod bless ya and have yourself a marvelous Monday!!!
Oh, yeah! Other than the heat, I am missing summer more than in the past, I think.
ReplyDeleteHey Farmchick,
ReplyDeleteCannot honestly say I'm missing summer either as it was 95 and humid as all get out today in Maryland. Weather is not expected to change much this whole week, either. Yuk. Not a fan of temps over say, 85. I do LOVE your photography tho - that glass of lemonade looks SOOOOOO good - YUM :-)
Oh how I wish I could have had a summer like yours. I miss summer from having to work all the time. I did have one week off but it was not enough to enjoy all the goings on here in Santa Fe. Is that photo of you house, it's amazing and I am jealous. I love all you amazing photos.
ReplyDeleteRandy - That is a picture of our farm with a side view of the barn. Thanks for the compliment!
ReplyDeleteStill summer around here, schools will be back in days. The weather is cooler enough but still good for the beach. I still love a good September...
ReplyDeleteWe have been so busy this summer that I am looking forward to some lazy days of autumn.
