yes, it's that time of year for hanging tobacco in the barn, and that smells permeates the air when I drive by, and I love it. Great photo for this morning. Thanks for sharing.Take care, from Fayette Co.
Great picture. Love the colors on the barn. I don't remember seeing many painted barns in Kentucky. Most either weathered wood or black. As usual your Thoughtless Thursday does the opposite to me and makes me very thoughtful of times spent in KY.
This is the first barn I have ever seen with a white ground floor with red above. Is this common? It certainly would show up well in green or golden fields.

ReplyDeleteEG - Our barns here are typically weathered wood. The white part are new metal sliding doors that have been installed.
ReplyDeleteAs Beverly mentioned, we do have quite a few black barns too.
That is a great barn and I love the porch on the other porch. I hope it is starting to cool down for because it's heating up here!
ReplyDeletenice barn. it makes me miss missouri. :)
ReplyDeleteLinda - It cooled down for a few days this week, but it will be heating up again this weekend. I am not looking forward to that!
ReplyDeleteAwesome barn! I love that it's not just one color.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous barn. This pic has a fall feel to it. Fall, already? *sigh*
ReplyDeleteGreat barn shot... the red makes it. Some history here, I bet.
ReplyDeleteI love barns! And this one is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOkay, stop. You're making me want to take a drive further south to check out the tobacco barns down here. LOL
ReplyDeleteLove the picture, though.
Good texture for the atmosphere and colour contrasts
