I love these old trucks. A lot of people in my area have restored them and show them off at cruise-ins and parades. I'd love to have one but an auto mechanic I'm not. When I work on a vehicle the first thing I do is bust three knuckles and rub grease all over myself just to get started :).
That's a beauty. Why don't they make trucks like that any more? (The fact that it's sitting in a field -- maybe that answers my question!) Really like the red contrasted with the gold. Lovely.
Like Joe, I love these old trucks too - am especially fond of old Fords since my dad drove one for many years and wore the heck out of it - and like Joe, we're not mechanics so it would surely sit at our place as yard art...
Now that truck has character. I'll bet it could tell the stories. Love your new header with the cows. Reminds me o sitting on my aunt's porch last summer counting cows.
Fabulous shot. This old truck needs to be left just where it is. It would be a shame to do it up with shiny new parts. In my view, it's meant to be resting in this lovely field.

Hopefully it arrived to where it wanted to. A great mean to measure time indeed. Somehow, even though a car, it fits in this place.
