The days are shorter and hence darkness descends upon the farm in the late afternoon. And this would mean the dogs take it as their cue to pile into the house.
They try to snuggle up with their best buddies and stick their nose in the blanket.
Then, it is off to dreamland, with big, floppy paws hanging off the cushion.
Everyone loves the fuzzy, red blanket.
LOVE IT !!!!!
ReplyDeleteso cute...

What kind of dog is in the last photo? Looks like there might be some blue heeler in him.
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy Thanksgiving!
Cute pics! We have one small dog and right this minute he "perched" upon my throw pillows on the couch. I put my camera settings to silent hoping to catch more candid shots of him!
ReplyDeletePoor dogs. They just can't get any sleep...lol.
ReplyDeleteThat is too cute!
ReplyDeleteOH--they are so cute! What good little nappies they must have :) I am talking in my dog baby voice :) LOL
ReplyDeletePatrice - The dog in the last pic is a bit of a "mix" and that is an understatement. It has been suggested that he is a Australian Shepherd mix, although I wouldn't doubt that he has some blue heeler in him.
ReplyDeleteThose are some lucky dogs to get an afternoon nap and a snuggly blanket too. Too cute.
ReplyDeleteHope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving
Oh my..they are just too sweet! :)
ReplyDeleteI love when the one pup has it's nose in the blanket! ;)
I hope you have an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving as well...thank you for your always kind and encouraging comments! :)
You dogs are precious!!! SO beautiful and full of character! LOVE 'EM!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute post. We used to have a dog who loved to cuddle up just about anywhere, but his favorite spot was in the bed with my son.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!
ReplyDeleteYou are one super nice dog owner to let them take your couch and blanket;)
What cute couch warmers you have there. Wonderful shots.
ReplyDeleteNow THOSE are dog lover's photos - up on the furniture and all ! With their own blankie no less.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, great companions.
Same way here--about cameras, I mean.
ReplyDeleteHow romantic your dogs look lying on their red blankie.
cute dogs! they aren't spoiled are they? :D
ReplyDeleteThat Labbie looks like he espescially loves the blankie...The blue heeler mix must be the cuddly one and the Jack must be trying to steal the blankie away from everyone else!!!??? I love your dogs, you don't even have a throw over your furniture...you are brave indeed..
ReplyDeleteYour dog are beautiful. What would we do without them! I'm so glad mine allow me to live here.
ReplyDeleteA funny reportage, they are right about not to be disturbed!
ReplyDeleteBow Wow!
ReplyDeleteBabies and their bankies! So cute. Mine jockey for the best spot in front of the wood stove.
ReplyDeleteYep, they're spoiled. :)
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family -- two and four-legged.
These photos brought a huge smile to my face. Thanks so much for sharing the love.
ReplyDeleteCute!
ReplyDeleteI can just see them going round and round in circles scratching up the blanket to make a bed. Like they do here.
Cuties, cuties, adorable!
ReplyDeleteIs your Aussie mix some kin to the large creature known as Roo? They won't be on the couch long when you start cooking, though. I get to look forward to three days of stepping over the dogs at the Chez, who are naturally waiting for oranges to drop into their turbans!
ReplyDeleteAiredalegirl - My Aussie mix is not kin to Roo, although they look a bit alike. I have to step over dogs here as well. Somehow they think they own the place. lol
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of the dogs. You have 4? Very sweet looking...and I can tell they are all loved.
ReplyDeleteLove the header shot. Is that your house?
Have a Happy Thanksgiving...you have the perfect place for it.
Just when I thought I'd not find another awesome blog to follow... I happened on yours. Love the pictures!!
ReplyDeleteWhat cute snuggle buddies!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!!!!! xoxo
Oh to live the life of a well-loved house pet! Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteLori - I do have four dogs, but my Border Collie was too busy outside to bother with taking a nap! That is my farmhouse in the header shot.
ReplyDeleteLove your dogs! But, that little Jack, oh my! I long for mine. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving. Thanks much for your visits and comments!!
ReplyDeleteToo cute!
ReplyDeleteHave a great Thanksgiving!
I love this! They look so comfy.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful thanksgiving :)
aaww...look how cute they are! There's hardly any room on the furniture left for the humans! haha.
ReplyDeleteIt is said that dogs are the sixth sense for human kind. Seems as if they know in advance when time demands to slow down and live life according to movement of time. Please have a good Thursday.

That red blanket looks so soft and snuggly!
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving!
Farmchick, I counted four dogs? They have a good life at your place -- as it should be -- barbara
ReplyDeleteLe chien est le roi, chez vous; belle ambiance de vie.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like they are living a good life!
