Today I am thankful for best buddies....

and kids who play on hay bales.

Small town traffic jams.....

boys with bb guns.....

and old farmhouses that never go out of style.

Also so thankful for all of the people I have, "met", through blogging. Such a diverse group of fine folks who comment on this blog and make it a worthwhile endeavor for me.
Wishing all of you a Happy Thanksgiving this season.

Happy Thanksgiving, Chick! I wouldn't know how to feel in a city where I don't get stuck behind a tractor, etc. at least once a week! Great pics!
ReplyDeleteYou are a special person, yourself, and your visits are always nice to see and read. Thanks for coming around today. I appreciate it. We are getting close to the meal and my stomach is growling.
ReplyDeleteI really love these photos of your children at play, especially the one with the dog on the bale of hay or straw or whatever it is. That's my kind of farm picture.
We have so much to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

Oh Man! I remember S & H green stamps! We used to collect them and collect them then ruen in all the booklets for something fun like Ball canning jars. Thanks for the memory and smile!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. I found your blog through your comment on another blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm a small-town farm girl at heart. We bought 20 acres from my mom and built a new house five years ago. She's on one corner of the 40 and we're on the other. Close, but not too close!
Winter is here in WI and I'm sitting with my laptop by the fire with our two pups on my feet: Lacey, a 4 lb yorkie and Theodore, a 13 lb schnauzer/poodle mix(schnoodle). It's very cozy and I feel very loved!
I hope you had a wonderful day today. I love this post and your new banner photo. Thank you for sharing your blog with us.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving Farmchick! Have a piece of pumpkin pie for me...and turkey...and mashed potatoes...and roast potatoes...
ReplyDeleteHa - I especially like small town traffic jams; my son calls them 'rush minutes' !
ReplyDeleteGreat post - hope your Thanksgiving was great too !
Ya, cool! I live in a world, for the most part, w/o traffic too. So nice.
ReplyDeleteAnd Happy Thanksgiving to you as well, Farmchick :-) Hope you had a great day with family and friends.
ReplyDeleteI love your farmhouse! It reminds me of my maternal grandmother's house in Pennsylvania. I loved visiting her whennI was a child and helping her in her garden and feeding her chickens. It gave me a love for country life and I feel like a county girl at heart.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
