A few weeks ago, during much warmer days, I took some photos of The Deerslayer while he was working with his bow. At the time I was just trying to get some good shots of him doing something he loves. It is hard to get him to sit still and smile for a photo. He doesn't like to have his photo taken. He is so unlike his sister.
How cool is that? I love finding hidden gems in my photos. Makes us realize how much we don't see and it's right in front of us!
ReplyDeleteWhat a special picture. Love it!
The top picture reminds me of a photo we have of my husband with his bow, may be right around the same age as your son. That is so cool when things like that happen when you take that picture. It always give me a smile. I'm with Nancy, it does make you realize how much is right in front of us that we miss.
ReplyDeleteYes,His presence is always there, we simply need to slow down enough to see it.
ReplyDeleteLove the snow gently falling across your page.
Amazing photos! He is so handsome he should want his picture taken.
ReplyDeleteBe happy he is so active and not flopped in front of the cocmputer or tv like so many kids.
It rather looks like your son is aiming for that cross in the sky. Pretty neat.
ReplyDeletethe second shoe is awesome!! good memories!

X marks the spot! Wow!
ReplyDeleteLove your cross in the sky. Didn't know God was in to hidden pictures? :-) Also LOVE the snow flakes on your page. At first I thought I was seeing things, but then I realized I was not losing my mind or my eye sight! (The closer I get to 50, the more I fret about such things. Really losing the up-close focus abilities! DANG!)
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
It's always nice to have a surprise like that. I have found many strange things in my photos that I didn't see at first, but never like this...
ReplyDeleteThat's really neat! If you ever see a target in the sky, your son and his bow are destined for greatness!
ReplyDeleteSince you have him use his rifle for mistletoe take-downs, what else does he get to use his bow for? Hanging Christmas lights or something?
He's such a great hunter. I can only imagine how he'll grow to be a great hunter man. :)
What a nice bonus! I love the point of view of this shot too.
ReplyDeleteHe surely will 'reach his target'.
ReplyDeletePlease have you all a good Wednesday.
daily athens
I think its more like the x to mark the spot that his arrow will pierce the sky. Nice shots.
ReplyDeleteLooks like he's having fun. One of the PE electives I took in college was archery. I lovvveed it. So cool.
ReplyDeleteThe second photo is very good, it's my favorite !
ReplyDeleteA very good perspective !
The cross in the sky, and a good detail, bravo !! :))
Bye**
So cool!
ReplyDeletePhotos are sometimes unexpected like that, you never know what you are going to find. The view from behind works well.
ReplyDeleteBoth are very nice shots! The angle in # 2 is great. Your son looks very serious and professional with his bow.
ReplyDeleteI love to go through old photos ans come across such gems!
ReplyDeleteVery cool...deer slayer is growing up and I find that boys hate having their pictures taken....mine will never sit still for me!
ReplyDeleteI love the second photo with the cross.
ReplyDeleteVery awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat photo is great...love his aim:)
(From what I have seen and read- I think our boys may have a lot in common!)
As they say "details make the difference" which applies here as well! Kind regards.
ReplyDeleteNow that can be called a 'great capture' !
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I like about photography - the camera sees everything because it doesn't have a mind of its own - unlike us. And often it shows us things in a way that our eyes just can't see.
Howdy
ReplyDeleteGod is so awesome and random and truly amazing as He pours out His divine spirit upon us .
Love your young deerslayer photo.
Mine is all grown up now almost 30yeras old :0) oh no !!!
He actually has it down in terms of months, days, minutes, seconds .
Oh I am so glad we only have to be young once !
Blessings to you and yours this December .
Take care now.
Unti next time
Happy Trails
Wow!
ReplyDeletesweet! that's a nice shot.
ReplyDeletei love shooting bows...what fun!
that is neat. A perfect cross.
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that? A cross in the sky! :) I agree with sawn61, His presence surrounds us, we just need to be aware of it.
ReplyDeleteYour ds reminds me of my ds. In fact, they kind of look alike. Check out my tree cutting post - or maybe you already did? Anyway, my little guy is only 10, but he loves archery too.
:)
Oh, you know it!
ReplyDeleteHe is everywhere if we just take the time to notice.
