Looks like an old church bench thats been recycled.
Joe - This is an old church bench that sits out in front of the very ancient hardware store on our town square. Hence, the key in the window.
LOL that window looks like my car in the spring...

Its a eye catcher for sure...
Just beautiful. Quiet and serene. I would love to sit a spell there.
Had to laugh at Deb's comment! :)I just wanted to plop down on that bench (with my shopping bags at my feet) and take a rest... I love your old town square.
Like the old church bench. It would be a nice place to sit and relax.
I like your Thoughtless Thursday posts. They are thought provoking, indeed.--Inger
Do you find people relaxing there often? Looks like a good place to rest. I love the picture.
Nanny - Usually I don't see people sitting here. However, this hardware store is home to a group of men who meet inside daily to gossip a little.
a beautiful still life!
What a beautiful bench! Reminds me of ones at my old country church as a kid.
Farmchick -- subdued grays and whites -- very nice. -- barbara
That's such a cozy looking photo. I imagine it gets lots of use in warmer weather. :)
amen. What a wonderful bench. Knowing a thousand stories to tell, books to write. What a treasure. Thank you for sharing.daily athens
I am crushed to read that old men don't sit on that bench. What has small town life come to? Are they inside with the 52 inch LCD HDTV?
Jack - The men are inside just talking. They have a spot with chairs formed in a circle, where they meet almost everyday.
A picture really is worth a thousand words!
Ya, I thought a pew rescued from an old church. Looks a bit lonely here.
I'd like to post this on my bench blog. If you agree, please let me know something about the place and the time this photo was shot.
Well, I am glad Mr.VP found this.Nice bench, but perhaps not that good at relaxing on.
Love this and I love that bench. I would find a great place for that here :)
Can you imagine the conversations that took place from those who were seated on that bench??!!
