A picture like this always fascinates me. One can think many stories around these old planks...
VP - This is actually an old schoolhouse located in a small community in our county.
I love old buildings like this. I always say, "If only walls could talk".
An oldie but a goodie. I'm glad you are taking photos of these old buildings for posterity. They will not be around forever.
I would love to go into that old school and imagine the children and teacher.
Wonder what this used to be?
I read you reply. An old schoolhouse. A perfect place to explore with a metal detector.
Images of kids scuffling, fighting and playing and the teacher standing on the porch comes to mind...
And little hand-held chalkboards to practice writing, and books held together with ropes or leather straps. And hard-soled leather shoes clacking against the hardwood floors...
great photo...my son sings the song that was playing...love it...
Wagon wheel...great song...
I know the feeling.. Carla
What a neat old schoolhouse. What stories it could tell. Also sad to see it in disrepair.
Nice picture, nice building. We don't have many main buildings built of wood over here anymore. I think it went out of fashion after they had the the great fire in London 1666 ! Wizz :-)
beautiful old building. Ah, the stories it could tell
Wow! What a great old building!
Next strong wind racing through Tennessee . . .
Racing through Tennessee on the way to Kentucky, I meant!!!
I love the old school house. Oh, what memories it holds.
What a nice building -- it reminds me of my travels through Norway a long time ago.
What a joy to think about how it smells, how it tastes, how it feels - for sure a delight for the senses all. Please have a good Friday you all.daily athens
Great photo--I wonder what has happened behind those walls. I always think buildings have a life and walls can talk :)
Makes me wonder if it's haunted.
What a lovely photo. A great fixer upper as an art studio.
