A busy, busy week is in store here at the farmette. Not only do we have the regular stuff....orthodontist appointments, work, laundry, etc..., my daughter's birthday falls on this Sunday. This would mean that four girls will be sleeping over on Friday night.
Oh dear....
My son is already feeling outnumbered and has asked if he can have a friend stay over. I think maybe we need another dog just to round out the whole situation. I kid, I kid, so if you know me please don't drop one off at my house.
I put up a sassy little saying on my kitchen sign board a couple of weeks ago.
I really do like this. And I am spinning around trying to imagine where to hang one.
ReplyDeleteHa, Ha! Love the sign. I need one for my office.
ReplyDeleteHee-heee....good one. Now, the girls have to stay focused long enough to digest the message. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the sleep over. Keep them busy with activities. . . that might help!
ReplyDeleteit's always good to get your bluff in upfront...if not they will try to take over...LOL
ReplyDeleteLOL, got to get that sign for my daughter... the mother of my grandchildren!
ReplyDeletehaha! Love that! Hmmm.... I wonder if I could make a sign for my kitchen! :)
ReplyDeleteTee Hee...wonder if it will work!
ReplyDeleteI love the sign. I remember those sleep overs. Not sure why they call them "sleep" overs, cause no one sleeps :)
ReplyDeleteLove this...do you often leave special messages?
ReplyDeleteLove it! Loved Deb's comment too. She must be a poker player... :)
ReplyDeleteI love it!!!!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with this weekend:)
i've never figured out why it is called a sleepover. there is so little sleep if any that takes place! i love your sign, sooo cute!
ReplyDeleteFarmchick -- Your sign is a good one -- very humorous. I have an old black chalk board that I put quotes on, I have it in my bathroom, can't miss what my latest quote is in that spot. -- barbara
ReplyDeleteGreat sign in your kitchen. Is it working?
ReplyDeleteOkay...I love that. I would love to know how to make it or where you got it because it's exactly what I need to hang in my office at school. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute......I love it!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good one! And, of course, you will all have a wonderful weekend. Happy Birthday to your daughter.--Inger
ReplyDeleteI love the sign, may I ask where a person would find something like that? Office supply? Or card shop? I love the biscuit comment as well! LOL!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it...the sign and the message. Looks like you can change the message too. Hope you have fun with the 4 girls. Let them bake or do crafties. That'll keep em busy. Happy Birthday to your girl.
ReplyDeleteLOL! I love that sign! I've got a little pillow hanging in my bathroom that says, "If you need something done, push this button. If no one responds, do it yourself."
ReplyDeleteGood luck this Friday!!!
This is GREAT!! Genius, simply genius.
ReplyDeleteI really love the sign. I am really gonna get the phrases somewhere in my office. You are very creative
ReplyDeleteWe have a dry erase board i use for a quote of the week for my family. They are SO fun, always create conversation. Good luck with the sleep over, i'm sure it will be a hit!
ReplyDeleteWhat name are under on flickr? I look but didnt find you,
I agree with Joe. I could have used this today. Good luck with the sleep over!
ReplyDeleteChanges - I often leave special messages or quotes. The board is a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteBarbara - Maybe I should move my sign into the bathroom....that way no one will miss it!
ReplyDeleteKathie - I bought this through the Pottery Barn catalog's clearance section several years ago.
ReplyDeletea view from a brown dog - If you scroll down my blog you will see a "flickr" photograph button with rotating photographs. Click on it and it will take you to my photostream.
ReplyDeleteI love it!! The girls will have so much fun. I used to collect girls from church and have sleep-overs and it was great. The highlight- going to Walmart after midnight. (at least for them it was... ) HAVE fUN!!
ReplyDelete:) Like it. A lot. I think I'll be posting that somewhere around here;))
ReplyDeleteI miss the sleep overs with my girls. They say only half of the people you invite will come..haha! One year my daughter invited 15 and 23 showed up! But we had a blast!
ReplyDeleteLove your sign! I'm going to have to make one of those for myself...but I'm sure it'll come up missing once my kids read it!
I understand your son... Your sign is really perfect for the situation!
ReplyDeleteLOVE YOUR BOARD! I need to find one of those for around here. Too bad the girls are learning to read so well, though. Means I will just have to get more creative in my wording! ;-) Good Luck with the house o' girls. At what age do they stop screaming? ACK!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the menu board or whatever it is called?
ReplyDeleteLoved the sign!! And what a well written post...
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week:-)
Very good this post !
ReplyDeletehappy birthday to your daughter ! :))

Oh how I ADORE your sign! AND the words ON IT! I am completely inspired and think I will put one on my wish list! That is what I call communicating with a 2x4! WHAT is it about kiddos thinking they must ROUND things out ALL the time? I have a misbehaving Lab that could come to YOUR house for the weekend!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this!!! I will definitely be copying that.
ReplyDeleteGood luck this weekend!
oh your sign made me giggle! good luck with the sleep over, though I confess if I knew where you lived I might just drop off the labrador to stir things up a bit * wink*

ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Good old Pottery Barn clearance. I've found some cool things there in the past.
ReplyDelete:)
You're the boss, Boss. No one doubts it.
ReplyDeleteThat quote is as good as a buttered biscuit. It's part of human nature to butter people up...for a reason.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great sign that you could have a lot of fun with. However it's best to keep your changes to a minimum and your letters locked away as it could be prone to modifications.
ReplyDeleteWell, I have never heard this "phrase", so I have learned something new :) Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the sign. I think I need to get one of those.
