Clownin' Around

Today we wandered into the big city to spend the afternoon at the circus. A ritual of childhood that we all pass sooner or later. And since Secret Agent Man had never been to see the circus, (seriously), I felt it was time for him to go.

We chicks were not afraid to sport a clown nose, but we couldn't get the guys of the house to wear one.

We had a great time at the pre-show, where you could get up close and personal with the performers, try on costumes, and try out some tricks for yourself. The clowns also treated us to some antics.

The elephant, however, was a bit more serious in her endeavor as she painted a picture.

Overall I have to say it was a great show...... and I think my daughter enjoyed it the most.

She kept her clown nose on the whole time.

  1. I'm really glad you all had a great time.

My parents took us once when we were kids. I took my kids once when they were young.

One visit seems to be enough for most people. ;)

  15. What a special moment it is when a child visits the circus for the very first time; their eyes grow so large and stay that way!

So glad you guys had a good time.

  36. I'm pleased you all enjoyed the experience, thanks for sharing the visual moments. I had opportunity to see the Moscow State Circus about 18 months ago when it visited my city. It was a marvellous experience and I think everyone should go and see a circus show at least once in a lifetime ... I hope that doesn't discount me from seeing another one !!
