Gone are those crazy snow days being stuck in the house. Now we are on the run everyday with a seemingly endless amount of activities. Trap shooting has started for The Deerslayer and practice is essential. His shooting gear is taking over the laundry room and I know one day I will miss that.

Toots is in full swing with softball practice. I am hoping for more crazy socks this year.

Along with the crazy schedule we also have crazy weather. Rain, storms, and high wind warnings seem to be the norm everyday. If it keeps up The
Deerslayer might just be able to float the canoe in the pasture, as he did this past spring.

As for me....I am missing time with my Kindle. Where is a snow day when you REALLY need it?!
Canoeing in a pasture. The latest craze!
ReplyDeleteLori - We had some terrible flooding last spring, but my son made the best of the situation. lol
ReplyDeleteI love the canoeing shot too!
ReplyDeleteI think our house might be it's own island by morning. Predicting 5-6 inches by Sunday night. Stay dry friend!
ReplyDeleteHa! I was just commenting somewhere that all the rain gave us a new lake in our backyard and that I needed a canoe!
ReplyDeleteThe canoeing is so funny!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! My boys are planning to haul the kayak down to the pasture tomorrow:)
ReplyDeleteha ha! longing for those surprise days trapped indoors! :)
ReplyDeletei wish we could get some of your rains. we've had plenty of high winds but sure could use some rainfall.
I think we had better make the best of some flooding on the prairie. The snow is finally disappearing but it won't stop raining. Spring seems to still be far off but we are hopeful for softball and track season weather soon. Love the pics.
ReplyDeleteKatie
Farmchick, your Toots is just as cute as she can be.
ReplyDeleteCanoeing in the cow pasture?! Sounds like a good time:)

loving the crazy socks! Panda is BIG into them and not just for special occasions. lol. My fave is her 2 different socks of non matching rainbow colors as she skated in jean shorts & kermit green T.
ReplyDeleteCanoeing in the pasture? I'm waving arms on the sideline waiting for my ride! ;)
Gotta love the Crazy Spring weather and what it brings out in all of us.
Snow? Bite your tongue! LOL! How cute are Toots' socks?
ReplyDeleteSounds like your life is as busy as mine. You'd think it would slow down with my youngest turning 21, but it hasn't! They STILL keep me busy!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by!
Hope you have a wonderful and very Blessed Easter!
This bottom picture looks like our backyard did.
ReplyDeleteBe careful what you wish for! :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't farm life in Kentucky wonderful for raising children? I think kids who are raised on a farm never have time to be bored. There is always something exciting to do.
ReplyDeleteI saw "The Help" was on your Kindle, I think you will love that book. I sure did! Also, living in Missouri, we are in the heart of tornado country. St. Louis (about 120 miles East of us) has had tornados touch down 3 times this past week, including one at Lambert Airport. What a spring season we are having!
ReplyDeleteNancy - I know you are right! HA! With this crazy weather we are having, snow wouldn't surprise me a bit.
ReplyDeleteHehehe! Like Joanie Mitchell sang "You don't know what you've got till it's gone"...or something like that. :)
ReplyDeleteTired of the rain here also. Stay dry! Happy Easter!

ReplyDeleteGreat photos of the family! Especially the canoe in the "pond"!
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy Easter!
I'll Take rain over snow any day. You have a wonderful busy life with your family come snow, rain or high water. -- barbara
ReplyDeleteI did a lot of gun practice when I was younger and I loved it. Now is not that easy here and my son missed it at all...
ReplyDeleteHow unusual. It must have been worth getting in his canoe as there would seem to be a lot more water than we see in the photo.
ReplyDeleteI have a unique kindle, it's slightly larger, has pictures and it's called blogger, apart from travel and other factual lifestyle books, it's the only thing I have time to read these days.
The socks are not as crazy as it seems as there is another pair like that in the drawer !!
