Last week I sought solace in a pan of chocolate chunk brown sugar brownies and they totally cured all of my ills. But, if your house is like mine, those brownies are long gone.
That would be all well and good except Blogger failed me again this week and wouldn't let me comment on some blogs.
Seriously
This calls for more chocolate.
Holy Cow Cake to the rescue.
1 box of German chocolate cake mix
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 jar caramel ice cream topping
1 tub cool whip
1 bag of toffee chips
Mix cake according to directions on the box and bake in a 9x13 inch pan. When cake is done, poke holes through cake and pour sweetened condensed milk on cake. Then pour caramel topping on cake. Let cool. Top with cool whip and toffee chips.
It comes out sweet and very moist. I do store it in the fridge due to the whipped topping.
There might be one piece left at my house....already.
There might be one piece left at my house....already.
that looks like a cure-all to me!
ReplyDeleteOh,boy!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds yummy!
Holy Cow ...
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting title for a chocolate cake ...
Have a nice weekend.
Farmchick, you are a righteous cook! Nice.
ReplyDeleteIsn't blogger driving you crazy? I can comment on blogs like yours that have pop-up windows, but not embedded blogs. I changed my own settings to go to pop-up blogs. Now, my followers list is lost!
Mmmmm ... looks delicous.
ReplyDeleteOMG! This is something I am going to HAVE to make. Funny...I haven't had any problems with Blogger at all. (Knock on Wood) but I have heard so many other people commenting on it. I love that retro dessert dish and coffee cup! Do you have a whole set of those? My Mom used to have some that were like that but clear, not milk glass. Great stuff. See...just goes to show you if you hang on to things long enough they all come back into style!
ReplyDeleteNo kidding. This comment thing is driving me crazy although it seems to be working better this morming. Is their any goodies left? Sounds yummy. :)
ReplyDeleteYum!
ReplyDeleteNot only could I not comment - but I couldn't get on my blog dashboard at all. I finally downloaded a new browser (Mozilla Firefox) and now I can do both through that. I prefer Internet Explorer, but until Blogger gets their act together, Mozilla it is!
Yummy is what I have to say....Looks delicious...
ReplyDeleteI have been having the same problem with blogger...very frustrating...
I have noticed that when I un-click the {Keep me singed in} button on google sign in, that my post will go through...Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but if I don't un-click this button, my comment will not post...
Enjoy a wonderful weekend and be safe..

ReplyDeleteDeath by too many goodies in one cake! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'll take it. Looks scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteI definitely have to try out that recipe! My mouth is watering just looking at the picture!
ReplyDeleteAs far as Blogger goes, I wish they would leave it alone. Every "improvement" causes problems for most people.
That sounds like just the thing I need now!!!
ReplyDeleteThis cake would cure anything from a hangnail to a broken leg. I love it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe blogger is finished making all their "improvements". Drove me nuts!
Yummo! That reminds me, I need to send you that recipe for the glazed corn beef. Will do that today. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Farmchick - I think I just gained five pounds reading your post on all these sweets. -- barbara
ReplyDeletetexwisgirl told me a cure..when you sign in don't check the stay signed in box...now I can comment on everyones blog...crazy but it worked...
ReplyDeleteI can see why it's called a "Holy Cow!" cake! :) That looks decadently delicious, and I'm sure it wouldn't last very long here!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites too, only with a jar of Fudge sauce drizzled on top of Toffee (I use Heath Bars). That cake will take care of all your problems for sure. I call it Better than almost anything cake or Better than S-- Cake. LOL!! Just seeing yours makes me want to make one NOW!
ReplyDeleteSorry you are having Blogger problems.
MMMmmmmm!!! Looks delicious!!
ReplyDeleteOh god. I see extra crunches in my future!!!
ReplyDeleteThese brownies would be gone in a blink of an eye! Delicious.
ReplyDeleteYes blogger has provided a lot of grief this month. Let's hope they can get their upgrade right, so the rest of us can enjoy our blogs. :-)
Have a great holiday weekend.

Looks like something even I could bake. What's up with blogger comments anyway?--Inger
ReplyDeleteI'm drooling on my keyboard. That cake sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteI'm having trouble commenting on some blogs also. Hope they fix it soon.
Delicious!
ReplyDeleteWe're all going to get fat if blogger doesn't get it's act together! lol. This looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteOh my, this sounds way too good to me. I do not have will power when something like that is in the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteI will have to try making a diet version of this. It sounds so good.
ReplyDeleteAh, now THAT looks like the cure for my internet woes ! And if it doesn't cure it, I'll certainly be the better for it. Looks delicious !!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so good! and it's so simple! I'm definitely going to have to try this!
ReplyDeleteAt this time of the morning it is a torture to read this!
ReplyDeleteYummy!:)

Oh, yummy. Visiting your site is not good, I say NOT GOOD AT ALL, for any diet I may attempt to try. LOL
ReplyDeleteLuckily, though it seems I may be able to post this comment under my name. I have commenting issues of my own lately.
