wow! you're sitting on a goldmine of beauty there! that's the kind of no-muss-no-fuss gardening i like!
I wish someone would come and mysteriously plant irises all over my place...
Iris are very loyal flowers, even when we ignore them, they faithfully come back every year...Yours are very pretty.
OH WOW!!! seeing your pics makes me wish mine were there yet!!!ThanksLeontien
Those are beauties...that's for sure. I love all the different types...and I love when things just pop up like that!
Oh, man.....beautiful flowers and Allison Krauss! I may never leave!
Each one seems prettier then the next.
I am always ashamed of my ignorance about flowers, but I am quite sure I can recognize an iris and these are all beautiful!
I especially love that last one! What a nice thing to have pop up around the yard! I have one yellow one, but no friends! ha.
Gorgeous Iris!Still waiting for signs of buds from our iris!
Lovely Irises! I love the iris, I have many and am going to have to thin mine out after they've stopped blooming. I've been taking pictures of my many colors of them.
My favorite flower of all. They are amazing and beautiful in all colors.
Aren't you lucky. I tried to plant irises in the past, but they didn't like my yard or they didn't like me. We live in a shady place, so my best floral friends are hostas, azaleas, rhodies and mountain laurel.
Ours are starting to bloom. I'll need to get busy with the camera. Yours are gorgeous! Love the pink and white one.
AMAZING colors! I especially love the purple with the white middle! STRIKING! My Iris are still days away from blooming...after seeing your photos I will look forward to them all the more!
How wonderful that you have so many colors of iris around your place! Love all the colors:)
Wow - they are beautiful! This reminds me of a story I read to my class. In the story daffodils come up every year in the middle of the woods were a house was long ago. Your pictures make me wonder who planted those bulbs AND, it makes me want to plant bulbs so I can have nice Spring blooms!Sarah from The House That Ag Built
Beautiful gifts of nature! Absolutely love the Emerson quote. (Hugs)Indigo
Fun colors too!
Oh, they're all so beautiful. Can't say I even knew they had yellow irises--learn something new each day.
I do love irises. I have had as many as 20 some different colors over the last 40 plus years, but now I have maybe a dozen. I did some transplanting here lately, putting some in beds where I can enjoy them more. They are in bloom for such a short time each Spring.
I carried iris and daisies in my wedding bouquet. They make me smile and melt at the same time! LOVE your pics!
I have some purple ones planted in my yard that were started from the ones that my mom had in the yard of the home in which I grew up. I do love the iris. Next to the buttercup, it's one of my favorites.
We were coming home from church yesterday and we passed a house with a yard full of iris of all the colors you can imagine. Really nice colors you have also.
The second one made my heart skip a beat.....
Those are so beautiful. What a great thing to see in the morning.
It's definitely iris season here too. Love them as each one is so unique in appearance. Lovely post!Di
Love seeing the iris!
Beautiful flowers and photos. We had Iris just come up every year in on of our past yards. I love when that happens. Hope your little Robins make it. I was really interested in your Straw Bale garden. I am sharing it with my son. Nope we haven't done anything in our garden area yet. Busy times. But love this idea, especially the no weeds part.
Gorgeous irises! How wonderful to have them all around you to enjoy!
They are soooo pretty!
Beautiful Irises. One of the great things about these flowers? The deer don't like them. They will eat every day lilly but, the irises they avoid.Cheers.Velva
Gorgeous.....There is a small place just outside of our town that has some old Irises that come up each year...I believe their color it much deeper than those that we plant...You are Blessed!Shug
Oh, the iris are so beautiful--they are my hubby's very favorite flower! I just bought some new iris bulbs to plant today! So many lovely varieites--love the yellow one--I've not seen one before!
Since I can't eat brownies, I decided to go back one and look at your irises. Wow, they are beautiful and I'm so glad I got to see them. I also love the barn at the top.--Inger
What beautiful surprises for you to find each year! Someone must have planted those Iris bulbs at one time..a gift that keeps on giving@
Wonderful photos. My mom always took great joy in her Iris--despite my brother and I nearly trampling them all the time with our backyard sports games.
They are blooming here too : ) Pretty colors you have!
What a beautiful assortment. Lovely!
Yes, they have to be one of the easiest perennials - just clean them up in fall or spring. I'm looking forward to ours - will be a few weeks yet.Beautiful shots !
Ours are just starting to bloom. I love the variety you have!
A wide range of colours that you have here. I always like to photograph solitary flowers like this to give the detail.
