Summertime and the living is easy I mean busy. The chiclets are almost too busy for words. Between sports, friends, sports, social activities, and sports....well, there hasn't been too much time for just being a bit lazy.

Lately I think they just like me for my wheels and my semi-full gas tank. Oh...and the funding I supply.

This week marks the Kentucky state trap shoot and a little break from softball. So, hopefully things will slow down just a bit.

  2. Farmchick, this is the best time of your life. Many of us with empty nests envy you and the activities your kids are involved with.

  3. Jack's right. Not having kids underfoot all the time, except for Buddy, sure leaves a void.....and makes it easier for THE BOSS to notice just how crazy I actually am!

  15. I so get you on this. Last week was VBS. This week is soccer camp. Although my 4 yr old is begging to drop out of the latter. We'll see. I made him promise to give it one more shot tomorrow.

  18. Can you believe how busy we have all let ourselves become...Our daughters and their families are constantly going, playing all kinds of ball and just plain running...Of course, who is there trailing them...that's right, US.

  19. Nice action shot of the pitcher's extension! That bit of fuzzy chain link fence as a frame is nice too--both subtle and obvious--and very much the signature of a parent, slightly outside, looking in.

  22. Seems like it's the same all over the world - this time of year is crazy in families. Your childrens' June activities are so very different from mine, but all depend on the support crew!
