This past week the chiclets and I made our annual summer pilgrimage to The Babs and Mr. B's house. Also known as Nana and Papa, they happen to live on the coast in the lovely, sweltering hot state of Florida.
So we loaded up the family bus and headed south.
And yes....that hula girl really resides on my dash....and she wiggles.
A little time at the beach was in order for all of us.....
especially our own Toots.
The Deerslayer enjoyed some time on the go-carts.
And we all enjoyed the 4th with plenty of cousins.
Great memories were made and we are missing everyone already.
Welcome home! Glad you had a good time. Sorry you're missing everyone..that's always the worst past of vacations.
ReplyDeletesounds like an awesome getaway and good family time! sweltering optional...

ReplyDeleteWe've got family in FL and we love to visit them in the spring.
ReplyDeleteI love the sandy beaches with the tall grass growing in the background!
Nothing like the smell of the sea air, especially to a midwesterner.
:)
I can never get enough of the beach back home but the traffic and my siblings is another story. Too bad we don't have a beach up here. That would be perfect:-)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you and your family had a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteFarmchick -- I spent a similar time with my Utah family -- only they traveled to KY instead of me travelling to Utah. Memories with family are precious. -- barbara

Our fourth was a big ole bust. It's so dry here in Texas, that all the cities cancelled the fireworks. We didn't even bbq.
