Totally Random

This week the chiclets and I went back to school.  No, I am not telling a tale, as my Gran Lucille would say.  I speak the truth and getting back into the routine this week has left my brain a bit scrambled.

Hence, a scrambled post chock full of thoughts passing through my brain......

Smoked Applewood Bacon = divine

How can my dogs keep shedding hair, but still look like they have so much left?

There is a lot to be said for doing nothing.

I love Mark Twain.

I also love Etsy.

Where is Alice from The Brady Bunch when you need her?

Feel free to chime in......

  1. Are you going to school too? We don't start school in August here in Oregon.. the kids get most of June, all of July and August off and start after Labor Day weekend.

But we're retired so we don't have school or work or anything we don't want to do! LOL

    ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  2. Wow, I didn't know anyone else had a brain that worked like mine...I love Alice and always wanted an Alice of my own. Are you in a year-round school district, is that why school is starting so early?

    Have a great weekend! xo

  7. Sorry, Farmchick, it is late on Friday night and I don't have any thoughts wandering through my brain, scrambled or unscrambled.

  8. I'm a hickory-smoked bacon lover myself but applewood-smoked sounds good too; and Mark Twain is at the top of my list of favourites (fav quote - "if common sense were all that common, don't you think there'd be more of it around ?").

Good luck getting the brain unscrambled.

  9. Depending on the summer, back to school time can be rough. For me, it's going to hurt this year.

At least you have Mark Twain.

  11. Not sure when our district starts up (no kids), but I'm not looking forward to the billowing clouds of dust caused by the bus on our dirt road!

I always wondered when Alice was going to snap ;)

  12. Sherri - We have a non-typical school calendar and take a week break during fall, Thanksgiving, and spring. Two weeks during Christmas.

  13. I have yet to walk away from a Twain quote and not be smiling or marveling at the words of that genius. btw Randomness is a fact of life. Treasure those thought and moments.

  15. I love Twain. Even though it was long, I really enjoyed reading Joan of Arc. He just does the most amazing character development.

  16. Our dogs shed so much that it's a wonder they don't run around naked! We love our vacuum here- it runs EVERY day.

  17. THAT is why I love giant poodles! Applewood bacon sounds good. I haven't had breakfast yet so how about some eggs and toast to go with it? Do you make good coffee? I'll be right over.

  29. We're all in the teaching business here - on one side of the desk or the other. We've sure enjoyed another summer, but we're also looking forward to the stress of starting another school year the the blessing of meeting a whole bunch of new people.
