This lovely lady recently performed at one of our Smalltownland music events. All I have to say is that when I get to be her age I hope I have that much zest left in me.
I have been enjoying these ladies a lot lately. Nice to see some, "outlaw country", come back into vogue. It used to be Willie and Waylon back in the day.
I am feeling the need for a pair of these.
Football and fall softball are wearing the treads on my car tires thin.
I cannot fix these crazy whitish squares.....just roll with it.
Peace out.....
Those boots would be perfect for the farmette! I think I've seen your musician wandering around Sarasota (sans price tag dangling from chapeau).
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the lady! I am grateful that my mom can still cook all the lasagne I wish...
ReplyDeletelove those girls....I haven't heard of them....gonna look them up...those boots are awesome....I had a pair almost like them in 1978...wish I had them now...
ReplyDeleteHer smile very much becomes the lovely and bright colors of her dress:)
ReplyDeleteyou've got your 'chick' on loud and proud today! love it! pistol annies have a great sound!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the girls..I went to listen and almost forgot that I was on your blog.....Sorry! Anyway, I thought you deliberately put the white boxes there. - The lasagna looks good, does PW cook anything bad? Have a great weekend. xo
ReplyDeleteFarmchick, I see that hat and dress in your future, but several sizes smaller! Nice photo and great post. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've met some awesome ol' gals like her! I, too, hope I can keep such a zeest for life.
ReplyDeleteLove your banner change and glad to see your going to share your hay bale gardening in a BIG way.
Congrats!!
I would love to have seen her perform.
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I bet she's a fun granny!
ReplyDeleteOh my! You're making me hungry. AND covetous of those boots... AND wondering if the things I sew ever look like that woman's outfit...
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you were gonna post my picture or I would have dressed up a bit!
ReplyDeleteI've been a Miranda Lambert fan since my daughter turned me on to her. Now I'll have to check out Pistol Annies. You're right about Willy and Waylon. Those were the outlaws on the jukebox back in the day when I started hittin' the bars and raising hell!
This lady is a hoot!
ReplyDeleteYou are right, what a darling zest for life she has!
How Funny! I have been recently drooling over Frye boots as well:)
Someday, right.....?
Ooooh...lovin' the Pistol Annies:D
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend. (I want some of her energy today!)
happy vibes. may time and life continue to treat her kind. please have a good weekend you all.
ReplyDeleteThe boots would be nice for the winter. That lasagna would be great. I wonder if it would work with ground turkey. Cute photo of that colorful woman.
ReplyDeleteI adore randomNESS!
ReplyDeleteMy mouth started to water the MOMENT I saw PW recipe! YUM!
That lasagna looks D-lish! Garfield would be envious.
ReplyDeleteChip - I remember my dad listening to Willie and Waylon and I still enjoy listening to them today. Miranda Lambert is great and glad to hear your daughter turned you on to her sound.
ReplyDeleteRandy - I am sure that it could work with ground turkey. It is a very easy, and forgiving, recipe.
ReplyDeleteJack - Let's hope I can keep that dress a few sizes smaller as I age!
ReplyDeleteIs that Minnie Pearl's daughter? Looks alot like her (and don't dare ask "who is Minnie Pearl?") I'll have to hurt you!! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, God...why oh why did you have to link to the Frye site.
ReplyDeleteMy credit card hand is burning.
My daughter LOVES the Pistol Annies... and Miranda Lambert too...
ReplyDeleteWe feel your tired tires too! Seem like out here in the country every team our school plays is an hour away...
Keep on keepin' on...
