This one makes me a bit sad. But a great picture, nonetheless. It reminds me of how older people in my town use to sit on a bench outside our town hall. All those old characters are now gone.
Love it. Looks like it could have been taken when we all knew what sitting down and just relaxing was! I miss "self owned" stores! Ours in our small town are all disappearing:(
I was just looking at the other comments and thinking how people look at things differently. Interesting. One photo can conjure up different sentiments in different people.
What a great capture, i love the vintage feel of this one and how she is just kicking it. To bad the store is for sale, sign of the times. I wish we had more small business opening instead of closing.
Nice capture. Looks a bit lonely on that bench with the 'for sale' in the background. Love the reflection too.
ReplyDeleteLooks like that picture could have been taken in my small town.

Pilgrimscottage I totally agree...I was thinking it was a bit funny like the old lady was for sale....It's all about perspective.

ReplyDeleteIt looks like that it's Ron's wife for sale here and what makes it more poignant or funny is the look of .... acceptance of defeat about it !!
