A single, random shot taken at the pumpkin patch last weekend. Straight out of the camera, I tell ya.
My daughter is currently in love with this painting.
I need these...actually the Lucky Stud version.....I could go on and on and on.....
Fall festival time here in Smalltownland this weekend. Looking forward to good times in a great community.
Stay warm....it is getting cold here on the farmette.
Your daughter is right to be in love with Seurat, there are a few more painting of his about the same place.
ReplyDeleteI like that painting...it is cool here in Texas too...enjoy your weekend...
ReplyDeleteFall festivals here this weekend too. Looking forward to it. Enjoy :-)
ReplyDeleteFabulous painting but can't believe it is over 100 years old, looks contemporary to me !!!
ReplyDeleteLike that picture right out of the camera...especially close up:)
ReplyDeleteOH!!!! Zion is one of my favorite national parks! It is sooo majestic and yet rather untouched and unknown. I'm very jealous now.
ReplyDeleteIt was frosty up here, just like James Whitcomb Riley would have liked it with "frost on the pumpkin" and all! Not so great for picking corn though. Now we have to wait for the frost to melt and dry off the corn before we can pick!
Have a great weekend!
Do you remember the board game, Materpiece? I remember as a child looking at the paintings and falling in love with the same one. Those boots are great! Have you ever been to that hiking area before. It looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou're a hiker too??! You've just got too much energy... Do you do the rappelling and all that? My brother and his boys are big into mountain climbing, spelunking and such.
ReplyDeleteFUN! But I'd rather have my feet on the ground... in the kitchen or sewing room...
Looks like that will be quite a hike! Can you believe those dresses they wore back then?
ReplyDeleteLove shots straight outta the box! Nice. Utah looks like a beautiful place to hike. While things are cooling off up there, we're keeping an eye on T.S. Rina. No fun to have tropical weather so late in the season. :(
ReplyDeleteFall Festival sounds like fun...Have a good one!
ReplyDeleteCherish these pi types of pics. We got our first coating of snow last night, getting nippy around here.
ReplyDeletehappy fall weekend to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteand i've always liked that painting too! :)
ReplyDeleteLove that painting, too. Wasn't it the one featured in Ferris Beuller's Day Off (the scene where they visit the museum)?
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend! I'm hoping no more hay bales. LOL
an excellent painting to be in love with
ReplyDeletelike that hiking spot...in the water near the water cool in summer...fantastic
had me a pair of great boots when I lived in AZ and had my horse Lightning...get you some boots

it's cooler here in Florida, no where near cold yet
Those are great places to hike.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter has great atste...and Zion...oh...what can I say...I love it there...it's wonderful, but we always go in early Spring...before the crowds and the heat...did you visit Bryce when you went...I loved that too...I love all of Southern Utah!
ReplyDeleteI've always loved that painting too, really puts you "there" in feeling. I liked the boots with the flowers embroidered on them! It's cold here too. Not a fan of winter. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteYour zinnias look exactly like my zinnias! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite of Seurat's until we studied it to death in art history class. I can get those boots and take that hike. I have always wanted to visit Zion and Bryce Canyon.
ReplyDeleteThat looks to be a challenging hike, but I'd be game.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting... Its festival time here in India.
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a fabulous weekend:)
I've seen this Seurat painting in person...his poitalism technique is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see Zion NP --and hiking it would be a plus.
Snowing here todat --wacky weather!
I do like the picture right out of the camera...this is my style!
ReplyDeleteCooler here in East Texas this week...love it!

A very cool painting - and I knew it had to be a Sunday before I even saw the title. What an awesome place to hike - onto the bucket list ! I brought my western boots down here to get them fixed - and of course to wear them when we travel up north for Christmas !
ReplyDeleteNice zinnia - end of season stamina.
...and now the wife wants a new pair of boots... what's a guy to do...
