errand n. trip to carry a message or perform a task
Secret Agent Man asked me if I wanted to ride along with him while he ran an errand this past weekend.
It used to be that errands involved traffic, crowded stores, and stress.
Now they involve trucks, buckets, barns, pastures, and dirt.
Such a better option now.
Beautiful photos! I can remember when running errands would take all morning, most spent waiting in traffic. Country errands are a lot different. Much more enjoyable.

ReplyDeleteYes, ma'am! Back home errands for us used to mean fighting gridlock, breathing exhaust fumes and, for me at least, a lot of foul language and a spike in blood pressure.
ReplyDeleteNow it involves loading the livestock in the truck, "a trip to town" and maybe stopping at 2 lights if we're unlucky!

ReplyDeletePerfect. Another reason is errands into our small town mean running into lots of friends. At least this is how my spouse explains an errand to get a loaf of bread takes two hours. :)
