errand n. trip to carry a message or perform a task
Secret Agent Man asked me if I wanted to ride along with him while he ran an errand this past weekend.
It used to be that errands involved traffic, crowded stores, and stress.
Now they involve trucks, buckets, barns, pastures, and dirt.
Such a better option now.

Beautiful photos! I can remember when running errands would take all morning, most spent waiting in traffic. Country errands are a lot different. Much more enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on that!
ReplyDeleteYes, ma'am! Back home errands for us used to mean fighting gridlock, breathing exhaust fumes and, for me at least, a lot of foul language and a spike in blood pressure.
ReplyDeleteNow it involves loading the livestock in the truck, "a trip to town" and maybe stopping at 2 lights if we're unlucky!
I'm loving it!
definitely!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pix, Farmchick. It is a different life, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteain't that the truth!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful errands!
ReplyDeleteSo true. Love the barn.
ReplyDeleteI do agree, a much better option for sure!
ReplyDeleteSo much more relaxing:D
ReplyDeleteOh I couldn't agree more!!Awesome pictures!!
ReplyDeleteLove old barns and anything in a homestead fashion.
ReplyDeleteI agree, your current errands sound so much cooler and more fun!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures :-)
ReplyDeletePerfect. Another reason is errands into our small town mean running into lots of friends. At least this is how my spouse explains an errand to get a loaf of bread takes two hours. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the tone of these photos and your words.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteLove this! Coming from someone who went from country living to town living and now just dreaming about the day that we can get back to the country, I know what you are saying!! And I will never take it for granted again. Nor will my farming husband. You take gorgeous pictures!
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are awesome and capture the relaxed vibe of your "running errands" perfectly. I agree so much better than traffic, crowds and high stress! PS love the processing you used on the last one :)
ReplyDeleteYes, there is much more to see that makes you happy in the countryside. I'm so glad I have my own patch of dirt here in Oregon.
ReplyDelete((hugs)), Teresa :-)
trucks, buckets and dirt......my kind of work! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more, and what a lovely barn!
ReplyDelete... and manure. hahaha Neat barn.
ReplyDeleteLOVE those kind of trips and how great that you thought to take your camera along!
ReplyDeletebirdman's comment made me laugh! beautiful shots
ReplyDeleteSo true how an errand in the country can turn into an all day job! Then at the end of the day you wonder what you started out to do in the first place!
ReplyDeleteSa-weet!
ReplyDeleteI like more the second option...
ReplyDeleteI never cease to be amazed by the processing effect on some of your photos. The simpleness of composition in the last two is awesome.
ReplyDeleteYup, that's about what our errand runs look like....and wouldn't trade it for nothing!
ReplyDeleteThat really is much better scenery.
ReplyDeleteLove these photos. They look like home to me.
