seeing a little gray makes you appreciate color when you see it...
oh, your second shot is GLORIOUS!!! the movement you feel in the slope of the roof, the cupolas, the rust. *sigh*
My fave shot is the last one. I'm waiting for Spring, but not very patiently. :-)((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Kierkegaard-ing...sparse, palpable, direct, provocative
Looks promising :)Good shots!
These are beautiful photos. The weather is so nice right now and again tomorrow, but the snowstorm is headed our way. I am patiently waiting for spring, too.Laura
We had gray skies today as well..... I am always ready for spring around valentines, especially after seeing all of the tulips and hyacinths that the florist send out. Hope you are able to enjoy a relaxing weekend.
living life in neutrals, makes the spring all the more splendid! great photos!
I love that first shot!
Your photography brings out even grey's splendour!! Have a bril weekend!
It is patiently waiting for spring and when it arrives...it will bust out onto the scene. As always, beautiful.Velva
Spring it is almost here, but it is still February, so who knows...
You have such a wonderful eye!
I'm a fan of gray at times with pops of color. Your photography totally captures beauty in gray.
Your photos are beautiful! I think my patient is wearing thin. I'm so ready for spring.
It's sunny but cold here today. I'll take it! Your photos are very moody. That's a good thing. :)
Lovely series, grey or not... I especially like that last shot... Will you consider entering it in my 'Weekly Top Shot' meme? We're on Week #18 and I'd love to see you share with me and my readers! Here's this weeks' link: http://www.theviewfromrighthere.com/blog/?p=6331
Gray skies do bad things for my mood. There is nothing like a blue sky.
That tree image in intriguing.
We all need sunshine in our lives. Including all the wonderful colours that exist. When it's grey, you just need to dig a little deeper and see the shades of grey.Wonderful and thought provoking post.
wonderful ! thank you for this peacefulness. please have you all a kind sunday.
Dormant still and peaceful...
I know what you mean about absence of color, but you have captured such wonderful scenes!
Lovely vignettes - despite the gray. (I did see some nice clean white in your header though).
May be grey but lovely shots! I look so forward to spring colors appearing!
Beautifully taken !!!!

I just came in from taking some pictures of our own gray. You are so right, it gives everything a rest. Even my eyes that were getting so tired and dry from all that sunshine and bright blue sky are feeling much better now.
**sigh** Please, please Spring hurry up and get here ;) I've been looking for you for awhile now
such beautiful images.
Thank you Michelle for coming over to share with 'Weekly Top Shot!' I do so like that last shot in your series, somewhat Andrew Wyeth-esque and I love his work, don't you?? I hope you'll come by again next week to share...
I enjoyed looking through your photographs. Very nice.
You make gray look really good... well done!
The grey still has it beauty as you have shown very well. Patiently is right!
I love to WEAR gray...but I am officially TIRED of the gray skies!
