Here's to my friends. The furry ones, the four legged ones, and the ones who will follow me anywhere.
Through briars, weeds, and thick trees, they are always with me. They are the chewers of blankets, chasers of skunks, and my fine friends forever.
Ready for a dip in the creek at a moment's notice.
Always ready for a drink from the old spring house.
Ready to search for rabbits at the drop of a hat. And....find a few that scare me to death.
Always on the hunt.
And, always, always, always........
my companions at the end of the day.

ReplyDeleteI never had a dog growing up, but rescued one about 7 years ago. I now understand why people love their dogs, although I still have to admit I am more of a cat person!

ReplyDeleteYou sure have a neat place to explore! I love my dog too, but we're not sure at all what to do when we go on vacation for a week.. where will we put him? I don't want to think of leaving him in a cage at the vets for 8 days.. that's the hard part of having pets.. they sure cramp your style for travel! What do you do with yours when you want to go away for a while?
