Mostly Work and a Little Play

This week has been a busy, but enjoyable, spring break.  It has been a full house with all of us home working, resting, and working some more.  We did take a little time to make a trip to Nashville for a dose of biscuits at the Loveless Cafe.  Delicious food and a must do if you are ever in the city.

Even Toots enjoyed herself.

My beehive found a home next to the pasture this week and now is just waiting for the arrival of its residents.

Last week I won my first ever blog give-a-way hosted by Teresa at the Run Around Ranch.  She drew this lovely cardinal.  It has fantastic detail and she is truly a talent.

She also sent me some luck from Texas in the form of preserved four leaf clovers in a card.  My daughter was truly wowed at receiving these in the mail.  Thanks so much Teresa!

How have you been spending your week?

  1. I wish your biscuit place was near our house! We have some restaurants here called "Biscuits" and they're pretty good! You are lucky to get an original watercolor for a gift! That gives me an idea for my next giveaway! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  2. I was looking through your last couple of posts since I have been MIA the last couple of days. Wonderful bird you won. Lucky you. And I can't believe that you have iris in bloom already!!! Mine are nowhere near blooming and I live in California! Something wrong with that I think. The yard looks good with all that mulch. It's lots of hard work making a place look beautiful, isn't it! But well worth the effort. Have a Happy Easter!

  17. I think y'all got jipped. We had spring break a few weeks ago and now this week, we get a four day weekend. Of course this means we will probably go later, but it seems a shame to lump breaks together.
