A lot of farmers in my area are getting their first cut of hay accomplished for this season. That means a lot of sweet smells as I am driving along these country roads.
We are headed for a hot one this Memorial Day Weekend. Mid-to-upper 90 degree temps expected, so I see a dip in the pool in my future.
Stay cool my friends.

I love that! I need a little for my garden!
ReplyDeleteThat has to be one of the best smells in life!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. xo
This is familiar to me, we did ours about a month ago. Last year we were so dry we didn't get much, so grateful for this come winter.

A gorgeous sloping field- lovely rural idyllic photo- low 80s here in the UK- enjoy!
ReplyDeleteBailing hay already?! WoW!
ReplyDeletei hope our field gets baled this weekend (it is supposed to!) the balers are about a month overdue!!!
ReplyDeleteUgh, I hate getting up hay. We won't cut ours until the end of June, as we moved the horses late this year.
ReplyDeleteYup, we are doing the first cutting here as well.
ReplyDeleteI hope your holiday weekend is awesome!
Enjoy the summer fun:)
I also love the look and smell of hay cutting and baling. Hubby is letting our pasture grow and go to seed before he cuts it so it will self-seed. It looks so pretty in the sunshine.. which we get back today, yay!
ReplyDelete((hugs)), Teresa :-)

ReplyDeleteOh, I love that sweet smell of fresh hay!
ReplyDeleteWOW...I always love your photo's, but this one is like a metaphor for LIFE!
ReplyDeleteOn the far left, a field yet to mow.
On the right, rows of hay yet to be baled.
And in the middle...a perfect bale of hay...and a job well done.
In LIFE, It seems that everywhere we look, there is something waiting to done, something partially done, and also the thing that we just did today.
The context of your picture tells the whole tale though, doesn't it.
In LIFE we experience the Constancy Of Change.
Blink and we must move on to the next thing we must do.
Thats why I LOVE this picture.
We don't get to live in The Moment of Accomplishment for very long do we:)
Thanks for sharing.
