I've Been Gone....

This past week I have hardly been in cyberspace at all. The family and I took a trip to Arizona and put many a mile on the rental car. It was fabulous.

View from Cathedral Rock in Sedona, Arizona

We did some hiking trails that afforded us some spectacular views.

Grand Canyon

We visited ancient mining towns, pueblo ruins, and viewed Saturn at the Lowell Observatory.  We even spent a little time on Route 66.

So, today I am back at the farmette with a pile of laundry, exhausted kids, and MANY pictures to work through.

Looking forward to checking in with all of you soon.

Life is Good!

  4. To think of the people that walked this earth before our times is facinating and you know someone did. Who couldn't be brought to this area with all its grandure.

  18. One place that I do miss visiting is Sedona. When I lived in Phoenix I would go at least once a month. Wonderful photos. I hope you had a great time.

  19. What an awesome trip! Looks like you had a great time. We had planned to go to S. Dakota and around next week but those plans are now on hold, as we are going to Orlando with family in the fall. Anyway, your pics have made me want to go ahead and go somewhere this summer, too. Yes, I'm jealous. haha

  29. LOVE LOVE LOVE that area! We were in Sedona several years ago and does it still cost just to put your foot outside the car there?
Our favorite place near there was Jerome. A ghost town that you had to drive up a windy road to get to. There were times on this road that all you'd see was the hood of the car and sky.

  32. My daughter and I just returned from being abroad for three weeks so believe me, I know ALL about the laundry pile, and the mail pile and the messy kitchen...

Even so, traveling is worth it. Every time! Looks like you had a fabulous trip... I love the southwest!

  33. Making memories. Memories for you. Memories of you, for your kids. Memories of your kids, for you. Memories of the whole family being together and having a special time. Decades from now, one of you will bring it up . . . "Remember in Sedona when . . .?"

  35. Ah, a visit to the native stomping grounds of Dr. Airedaleparent! Daddy is from Phoenix, so long ago that the streets were not yet paved when he was little boy. Hope SAM remembers to tell him about the trip!
