What a beautiful piece of farm equipment! Gone are the days, aren't they? You are lucky to capture them in photos to preserve them the way that do. Some day we will be able to look back on a distant land.
what am interesting looking farm tool??! weird. i've never seen such a thing. i bet the man or woman who made it has a very, very creative mind. awesome!! (:
I love this photo! Old farm machinery and trucks are my loves. I like to think of all the hard work they put in with their farmer's, and isn't it nice they get to give us joy instead of going to the wrecking yard! xx
That is pretty, Michelle. I was thinking about you and images like this just yesterday. I was driving around my area -- mostly urban and suburban -- and came across some farmland and some beat-up old farm equipment. It made me realize that even in the most cosmopolitan places, there are usually still traces of simpler lives lived in the past. And, for a few, in the present.
I have no idea what that equipment even did years ago but it is amazing. I read the above comments about how it reminds them of a simpler past. That is interesting to me. Old equipment had less technology but made for more work and was far from simple for the farmers! Always love your captures Michelle. Enjoy the weekend.
Lovely pic! I wonder if that piece of machinery is still in use or if that is "The last stand"
ReplyDeleteBTW I LOVE the music on your blog now!!
