Our barn found a new purpose. When we lived in NH, we purchased an old cross country ski resort that had gone under in the 1950s. Over 15 years, we renovated the buildings. My wife and I lived in the main lodge, and each of our children had their own cottage on the property.
Across the river, there was an old barn, which originally served as lodge for renting skis. We renovated that too, and it became one of our favorite structures.
Old barns have character, and tell stories. They provide a wealth of historical information. I can imagine the story behind the barn in your photo. Thanks. jj

I just blogged about RICE tonight and when I first that picture I thought it was rice. Seriously I need to think less about crops and more about the beauty around them. Love that barn capture.
