I will be spending time with family for the next couple of days honoring this fine lady known as my grandmother. Born in 1916 she lived through so much history and set a wonderful example for all of us to follow.
I wrote a bit about her life, just a few months ago. You can read about it here.

Our dear Bird will truly be missed.

Never knowing either of my grandmothers as they died young, I am so glad for you, Michelle, that you got to know your dear grandmother. She sounds like a grandmother I would dearly have loved to have known. You were blessed with her.

ReplyDeleteMorning Michelle.
ReplyDeletesorry to hear of your loss. How blessed you are to have had such a loving grandmother to set a Godly example for her family. My grandmother died at an early age (44) as well as my grandfather. I do remember my other grandparents, but due to life circumstances, I did not see them very often...
Thinking of your family at this time and saying a prayer that you all will find peace as you wrap yourselves in her memories.
