The Girls Are Back in Town

Just a few days ago a new group of very lovely ladies arrived here on the farmette.

They could barely contain their excitement as I went out to greet them.

They were much more interested in the hay than anything else that was going on around them.

But, they couldn't resist throwing in a pose for the camera.

They are of the female persuasion, after all.

"Some people are uncomfortable with the idea that humans belong to the same class of animals as cats and cows and raccoons.  They are like the people who become successful and then don't want to be reminded of the old neighborhood."

  11. I miss our cows :( These look so content to be in a nice cozy barn. We were discussing the possibility of getting some cattle again just last week but with my storytelling schedule and being away so often I'm not sure it's a good idea. And then there's all the fence to be rebuilt...still, though, I miss them, especially my Jersey milkers.
