The sun is shining and the clouds have passed. That should be news enough, but there is more.
Tuesday night spent with The Punch Brothers at the historic Brown Theater , in the big city, was an event that will not soon be forgotten.
I am now too old to stay up late in the big city, travel back home, and make it to work the following day.
I need a few of his signs.
No mail on Saturdays at the farmette. This equals sadness for me. I love rural mail delivery.
Best hair product ever. Just sayin'.
Anything to add? Anyone....Bueller?

You'll get used to no mail on Saturdays. Canada hasn't delivered mail on weekends for years and years. Look at the bright side: no bills. :))
ReplyDeleteAlways good to hear that the sun is shining at the farmette. I think many people are going to be disappointed about no Saturday mail delivery.
ReplyDeleteNo mail for us city slickers on Saturday coming August. Seems a shame. I know the postal employees do have some generous retirement packages and I don't begrudge them their due but it seems a little much to stop delivering one day a week. I would rather it be Wednesday as that is the day here when all the junk mail is delivered.
ReplyDeleteMorning Michelle, glad the sky is blue, sun shining out your way....not so much here. Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteUffda. I'm with you on that late night stuff but fortunately our big city is only a half hour away...:)
ReplyDeleteWe haven't gotten any mail in 3 days! Not sure if our mail delivery lady, Pat, is sick or what? I hope she's okay.
ReplyDeleteThe concert sounds like it was fun, but I imagine it was hard to get up for work the next day. I'm usually in bed pretty early. I need my beauty sleep haha :)
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while. Life has taken some twists and turns and I haven't been blogging much but got out of my rut yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the haircare tip. I don't have unruly hair but both my daughters have long hair and the eldest's is curly. We're going to give it a try because I'm sure she'd love it.
Happy Friday!
Sounds like you had fun, even with the lack of a good nights sleep I am sure you thought it was worth it.
ReplyDeleteI love rural mail delivery actually I am wondering if they will come today in this blizzard, well I just heard the snow plow so maybe. Love the pic. B
love that shot! gorgeous contrasts and deep colors!
ReplyDeletei just want to be certain the USPS doesn't deliver to my mailbox PERIOD on saturdays. it will really tick me off if i have to check it 'just in case' i get a damn package delivered that day... all or nothing, i say...
Beautiful colors in your photo...No mail on Sat. but you still may get a package.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of hair products..I couldn't live without Bed Head Masterpiece hair spray!
Have a lovely weekend. xo
I like that picture. Your evening at the Brown Theater sounds fun. That place looks wonderful. I love it when old theaters are saved. They're treasures.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
Which big city did you go to? Did you make it to work the next day? I love doing fun things like going to plays and such. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteLove that tiny wisp of moon in the photo.
ReplyDeleteYou'll get mail on Monday! :-)
ReplyDeleteCould use some of your sunshine here in central PA. It's supposed to give us an "epic" storm this evening and overnight, yet I have theater tickets for a show tomorrow evening. I will get there if I have to crawl there!
ReplyDeleteMy letter carrier says its not a done deal...we'll see...I think we'll get used to it! Been crazy around here too...a mad man on the loose in the mountains next to my house! Have a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteBest Hair Product ever = I AGREE!!!
ReplyDeleteHilarious post.
ReplyDeleteWe re luck to get any mail at all: the delivery is, so to speak, sketchy all the week...
ReplyDeletelol. I am going to have long day next Thursday. Early morning class, work and then a Valentine's Day showing of Moonstruck at the historic Lensic theater. Let's see how I do the day after.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good time and I'm with ya. I get up early so I'm done early and it's hard to stay up late. Great shot Michele, I love the contrast of the barn against the sky and the slice of moon ain't bad either :). Hope you're having a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteSure makes it hard for me to get my Alzheimer dad to understand that there is NO MAIL on the weekends. He might not be able remember things happening today, but he knows that he has always gotten mail on the weekends!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a nice week to review. My review weekend review would consist of snow! Getting ready for snow & grocery shopping because of snow!
ReplyDeleteLike that light and shadow on the roof.
ReplyDeleteNice post
ReplyDeleteThat is a quality picture, the contrast and detail of the dark wood against the pure blue sky. Composition is great too.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame about your saturday mail, possibly the only time some people could say hello the postman.
