This and That

Sharing a photo of a scene I hope to see again soon. This field full of wildflowers.  Spring....where are you?

Garden and Gun has a little competition going on with some Southern food favorites.  Check out their bracket and see if you find any of your favorites represented.  I admit a love for Duke's Mayo, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (lemon filled please), Wickles Pickles, and Dale's Seasoning.  Seriously, I have never developed a love for Moon Pies.  Just can't do it.

Garden and Gun also has dog photos shared by readers from all over the south.  In the past, I even had a couple of my own furry friends featured in these pics.

Have you had enough basketball yet? If not, make sure you watch more of it this weekend.

It is wrong to admit that I am weary of it already?  And, actually have only watched one game.....

Be good, my friends.

  4. I don't like basketball, and now that Villanova is out, it doesn't have to be on in our house! Of course, we are still watching baseball spring training games, and hockey! LOL

A beautiful field full of wild flowers! I just got my first Gardens & Guns magazine in the mail and will have time this weekend to read it!

    Wishing you a good day!

  5. I have to admit....I am one of those basketball nuts and love watching the finals. I also know what you mean about seeing a field of spring flowers...awesome...hope that happens soon. I don't like to cook, so those recipes don't appeal to me...lol Have a good Thursday.

  6. Basketball..ugh..I 'had' to love it when our son was a big 'star' in High School. I never looked back after graduation. Thankfully the hubby's favorite sport is guns. Speaking of guns, after learning of Garden and Guns magazine from you, I had to get a subscription, can't wait for the first issue to arrive!

Happy Easter to you and your family. xo

  9. Oh, I'd love to wander in that lovely field, too.

I don't do basketball. DH watches all sports and it drives me nuts just listening to it. So, I'm off in my cave doing something else or gone.

Just a notce, I'm watching 4 goldfinches at the feeder outside my window. Some are nearly in total breeding plumage and some are rather motley looking, but they're all beautiful nonetheless.

  13. You could sled off that barn roof! No wait... We're thinking spring, aren't we?

  14. Beautiful. Our spring is coming, but it hit a freeze this week. I know it will warm up to 90 by mid-April, so I'm still enjoying it now.

  15. Lovely field of flowers, I hope it won't be long now. I saw on CNN a story about a Florida Cinderella team, never heard of before, called the Eagles. I think they made it to the Sweet Sixteen. Not sure about that, but they are doing really well. I love a good underdog.

  29. Passed through your beautiful part of the country on our annual spring break trek. Looking very green, and the daffodils are starting to dance in the fields. I do believe spring is on her way. Happy Easter!

  31. Super love the wild flowers and am sending warm spring wishes your way. Not so much a basketball fan. Happy Easter Michelle, I hope you have a great day with family.

  32. We do have Spring, and it is my favorite time of year.

Your photo is terrific. I love sports, but I see nothing exciting about 12 foot tall would-be college students dunking a ball into a 10 foot basket.

    Happy Easter!
