Random Five Friday

Photograph of a BMX bike trick rider at the fair.  Crazy!

I haven't had a soda in thirty days.  Yes, I kind of miss that fizzy concoction.

Check out this blog and you won't be sorry.  Full of recipes written for her boys and the stories are sweet and touching.  The strawberry pie is seriously good.

It is National Bourbon Day people.  You know what to do.

It is also Flag Day.  Fly it freely and with pride.

Linking up with......

  5. Great (scary) action photo - I won't be showing my Grandsons! I don't drink bourbon (unless it's in a pie)! Good Luck on kicking soda - haven't had one in a LONG time.

  10. Another amazing capture! Good job on the soda weaning. I used to be hooked on Dr. Pepper and when we lived in Louisiana, I had a thing for Creamo Rootbeer.. but I can't even find it on Google!! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  11. Good for you, sodas just don't seem to go with your small town country life, somehow.

  14. What a great Photo, Michelle! Amazing what one dares to do with a bike - it must be a great feeling at the same time almostto be able to fly with it!
I should start thinking the same with Cola Light ... I drink a few of them every week (The start of my weekend-ritual :)

  20. Yes....Great shot! My bike riding has not been too successful.....I've endured a broken nose and a broken collar bone while riding one of these things. Proud of you for taking the soda's out of your day! this is great!!!

  21. Amazing picture: that guy defies gravity!
I am having a soda just now...
No way I can learn to cook beyond my scarce skills, but who knows?
I won't waste some bourbon in my Coke, but be sure that I'll feast with it later.
I treasure my American flag, but I am not sure I can fly it properly... and I am Italian!
