Random Five Friday

Where is July going?  Summer always races by, but the month of July is especially quick.

My Playlist has disappeared yet again.  I wish the company would make up their mind.

Our mail lady has been the only visitor on our small, country road lately.  I like it.

I still haven't painted the master bathroom.  Yes, I have it prepped.  Dread....that is the word of the day.

If I make a shrimp-n-grits casserole this weekend, will the family eat it?  I might just have to see.

Linking up with Nancy today.  Go say hello!

  2. July is speeding by for us, too! I can't blame you for dreading the bath paint job. One of the toughest rooms to edge around.
You are the 2nd blog friend to mention shrimp and grits this week. Have you seen Suz's post here:

  15. If I were your family I'd eat your shrimp-n-grits; it is too hot to paint, I wish that the only person down our lane was the Postie, lucky you.

  22. I really like your new header; so summery....You are right summer is going by way too fast but then it always does....I guess the lesson is to soak in the moments....

Shrimp and grits; one of my favorites...let us know if your family likes the dish....

  24. Lovely summer photo, is that Goldenrod?
July does seem to zip by doesn't it.
    Shrimp yum, Grits...not so much.

  25. Shrimp and grits? ugh. I pass. Summer can't go fast enough for me. Too hot....too dry to do anything. Makes us feel like prisoners in our air conditioning. Glad for it, though.

If I was your next door neighbor, I'd volunteer to paint your bathroom for you....love to paint!

  26. I thought the same thing today...wasn't May just a couple of weeks ago? ha.

  30. HI Michelle Never worry about the bathroom if the weather is good enough to get outdoors. The bathroom can be done on a rainy day. Make every day count because it seems the older you get, the quicker the days go by. Have a great weekend. Margaret

  31. I only get bills in my mail, but I gues that is quite common now...

    ReplyDelete
  32. The idea of living in a place where the mail lady is the only person on the street is completely foreign to me. Where I live in Connecticut, people are continually walking or running or bicycling past. I like the activity.

  33. Ya, after the Fourth there seems to start a gentle slide till September. Sheeeeeeeeeesh!

  34. I miss my playlist!! For years I enjoyed it, and others told me they did too.

I've had two gallons of paint sitting, waiting to go on our living room walls for about a year now...
procrastination!! Taking everything off the walls and moving the furniture & getting ladders to do our tall walls. Dread has been the word attached to those buckets of paint here, too!

  35. Beautiful and serene Photo, Michelle ... reflects the Peace abnd quietness you've had this week, only the mail lady coming by once a day! Oh that shrimp casserole sounds yummy!

  36. I'm actually looking forward to fall- I am just not a fan of the heat. If I had kids at home it would be different.

    ReplyDelete
  37. You are right, summer does start to whiz by in July. I think I am okay with that as this is about the point where the heat of the day is like swamp weather.
