Football, Football, Football

After a leisurely Saturday morning spent at auctions, football was on the schedule for Saturday night.  We  spent 1 & 1/2 hours sitting in the parking lot, in a horrible storm with lighting, torrential rains, and flash flooding,  before the officials decided to call off the game.....

And, they rescheduled it for Sunday afternoon!  Yes, yes they did!

Sunday afternoon turned out to be exceptional, as we won the game!

Labor Day had us playing more football!  Yes, more football!

A Junior Varsity game ended with another victory.

I am tired, but not as tired as my son, who happens to be #62 in these photos.

  1. I wonder if Darrel Royal meant that as a good thing or a bad thing.

  3. The pictures are wonderful, but what caught my eye was the players praying! Here, two high schools have been told there will be no prayer at football games.

  6. We had storms Saturday afternoon, probably the same front that hit you guys. Our football was on Friday night so they lost in nice weather this time.

  11. Do you only have one code, American football I'm not sure how to spell gritiron that looks wrong.
It is played here but is only very small.
We have rugby union, rugby league, AFL that's Australian rules and the other one with the round ball it always is on TV somewhere.
