Just in Time for Halloween

Just in time for Halloween we have, what my daughter terms, a spooky-looking house for sale.

Listed in a neighboring town, this historic home is nothing short of awesome.  Well, if you are a lover of old homes you will find it awesome.  With its mansard roof and ballroom, yes a ballroom, how could you go wrong?

If you would like to check out the listing, just look here.

  9. Oh a ball room, that sounds fantastic. This house is ever so handsome and I don't think it looks spooky.

  10. Definitely has lots of potential! First order of business would be tons of wallpaper removal, followed by many hours of painting. And I think the cost of upkeep/utilities would be a downside. But the floors and space and staircase are AMAZING!

  13. I LOVE it! We have a mansard roof on our old home. There are even larger homes in the neighborhood with ballrooms on the third floor. When they have come on the market I've gone over to take a look. Quite elegant inside!

  14. Ohmygosh! What a fabulous house. I love the mansard style. Love love love it. I don't think it's spooky at all. But i can see why some would think that. It does resemble the Munster's house in a way. lol. But certainly 'kept up' better! lol

  16. My goodness it is so cheap compared to houses in Scotland...you get a lot for your money. Where I live you would only get a flat with 2 bedrooms.

  17. My goodness it is so cheap compared to where I live in central Scotland. You get a lot for your money. We would only get a 2 bed flat for that sort of money.

  18. I don't think there is anything scary about this lovely historical home. Gosh, that staircase is gorgeous and the hardwood floors are amazing. The wallpaper would have to go, though. I hope someone purchases it who will love it and care for it. That ballroom would be a great place to skate! :)

  22. I like this house, esp the wood floors and staircase, and the price is v. good compared to many other parts of the country. I'd like to cozy it up, plant some inviting bushes and flowers so it looked less 'spooky.' xx
