Random Five Friday

My Dad and I hanging out at a family reunion during last weekend's Cow Days Festival.  I am usually behind the camera, so I am glad to have this pic with him.

I am in love with Hooked on Houses.  Possibly, I am a real estate agent at heart.  The current house on the blog is listed in Georgia.  Seriously, I could live there......

Beards are all the rage these days, but how about something a little bit outside the norm?  Check out

The Macarthur Foundation released the recipients of their annual genius grant.  Swamplandia has already been on my list to read.  Now, it intrigues me just a bit more.

I might have linked this playlist before, but it bears repeating.  We all need to get our groove back for the weekend.

Linking up with Nancy!  Pay her a visit, y'all!

I started a beard a while back but can't match those guys, my wife says that I can't get the Si Robertson look but she didn't say I couldn't act like him.

  18. Hi Michelle,
Such a lovely Photo of you and your dad! I'm also often the one taking rhe snapshots - need to remember NeXT time to be also on the Pictures :) Oh I enjoyed seeing those beards ... The curly ones were so artistic - the ones with the spikes need a lot of styling, I assume!
    Enjoy your weekend!

  19. what a great photo of you and your daddy! oh i'm sure i have a picture of that fantastic old house. we used to live in walton county, ga, not far from madison and madison was one of my favorite places to visit and see all the great houses. it's said that sherman spared madison in his march to the sea during the war because it was too beautiful to burn down! i agree!

  28. Nice seeing this photo of your dad and you. I had an image of you as tall . . . maybe I was wrong.

Those beards! Not for me, and I don't understand the guys preening over their fancy beards. I read Swamplandia and thought it was pretty good, but not remarkable.
