Thankful Thursday

Thankful for another summer on our farmette.  The flowers in the fields are dry and drooping.  Our heat spell seems to be breaking and cooler temps are in the forecast.....just in time for the first day of Autumn on the 22nd.

"Now Autumn's golden stores behold, with fruit each tree is crowned;  Peaches in suits of red or gold, each twig bows toward the ground."

  1. It is starting to feel like fall, it was a long summer or so it seems. Winter seems to take forever to pass, I guess spring and fall are my favorite seasons.

  9. Cooler temps will be welcome. We had a very rainy spring/summer. The day we planted fall grass seed, the rain stopped!!!

  10. Is this flower called cornflower something?

I cannever remember the name and I had it in my garden again this year.

It sort of looks limp now mine

Yes we have cold fall like outside weather to-night.

Two nights a heat wave outside.

I guess we will later have Indian supper. In middle of Oct.

  14. Lovely, Michelle. Lovely.

You should pick up a copy of Tim's book. Teens' brains are not fully formed, so it is parents' job to set and enforce limits. I nearly killed myself the first day I had my drivers license, taking a ramp off a highway at far too high a speed.

  17. I don't know why others complain about the cold weather; at least it is late summer and you have some cooler weather to look forward to. I am in for 365 days of nothing but heat ! Enjoy the Fall ad cooler weather ahead !
