The Art of Doing Nothing

Hillside pasture here on the farmette.

Yesterday my daughter wrote a list for her daily activities.  She had already asked me if we, "had", to go anywhere and I assured her that no, thankfully we did not.  Our weekdays are so busy that a free weekend is a blessing.

Her list went as follows:
sleep
rest
do nothing
sleep
rest
do nothing

She followed the list down to the letter.  With her batteries recharged, I have no doubt she will be ready for Monday morning.

I need to follow her example a bit more.

  2. Sometimes you just have to recharge your batteries. That's a good list to have at hand when you feel the need.

I sure do love seeing photos of the farmette. How many acres does the farmette have?

  20. I do believe there is an art to doing nothing. My HM or I always say this to each other after a very busy day, "Ya know what I'm going to do tomorrow? ... (after a pause) ...Absolutely NOTHING!" Then we laugh because we know deep down that we can't just do 'nothing'. hahahaha

  23. Now that's the schedule I need to get on. I took off Friday and Monday to get caught up on some things that needed to be done before hunting season starts and I had to go back to work today to get some rest :).

  26. I really like this shot, and I really need to follow your daughter's example. Sometimes I sort of follow it, but I feel so quilty when I do that it loses its value.
