Bring on the Band

Sunday afternoon turned out to be promising.

I met my niece, and her band mates, for a photo shoot.

Locally quite well known, they are on the verge of putting a CD on iTunes.

Though I take a lot of pictures of, "stuff", I rarely take pictures of people.
The pictures turned out better than I expected.

They are a talented group of people who obviously enjoy being together.

If you would like to take a listen to my niece, you can do so here.  She is singing a solo of one of my favorite, classic country songs, Jolene.

  16. Great pictures, I particularly like the next to the last one. Also a great rendition of Jolene, my least favorite country song. So I listened to another one too. she has a beautiful voice and her guitar sounds really pretty. I wish them well, they deserve it. I tried to leave a comment on Youtube, but got all kinds of interference by the web site, wanting me to sign up for stuff.

  28. I think they will definitely be known in the near future; great voices.....and aren't you the sweet aunt to take their photos....All of them could be on an album cover.....(or do they do that anymore maybe a CD cover...)

  29. Great work. It's always difficult moving into people from Landscapes ... it freaks me out as I've been asked to do numerous weddings ... on the cheap I think :-) but always turned them down. This is a far better platform to start with when you can do it in a relaxed situation with someone that you know. The locations are important for something like this & they have been chosen well. I like the varying poses that make it natural looking. Top work.
By the way, your niece has a fantastic voice too.
