Thoughtful Thursday

One last bright spot, here on the farmette, before the first frost arrives.......

A Sunflower bowing its head,

before its final day of the season.

"The gaudy leonine sunflower
Hangs black and barren on its stalk,
And down the windy garden walk
The dead leaves scatter, -
hour by hour"

Oscar Wilde

  2. No threats of frost here yet -- but we'll get pretty close this weekend with a cold front bearing down from Canada. Love that last image -- the blue sky as a background is quite striking.
