Random Five Friday

This is a frosty view on my way to work.  Just a couple of minutes from my old farmhouse, it proves to me how lucky I am to live in the country.

Southwestern Vegetable Soup was for supper this past week.  If you like Chili's version, then you will like this one.

Gift ideas for the book lovers on your list right here.

Or, perhaps the person on the gift receiving end would like this sugar chest instead.  I know I would....

Christmas shopping with my daughter this afternoon.  Y'all say a prayer for me......

  13. I feel really honored to have been the subject of a lesson in your classroom. Good to know that your students couldn't relate to live candles. Looking back, so many things we did back then were not really safe. Thanks for letting me know.

  14. Oh yeah, that sugar chest is nice.. a bit over-priced, though. :-) LOVE the photo! I was driving along the Columbia River this afternoon and wished there was a place to pull over.. the fog was gorgeous, the trees on the islands just barely showing through.
