Brown and Gray

"Brown and gray,
brown and gray,
brown and gray all the live long day."

A small quote from me as to what colors fill my day.  They are brown and gray, with a touch of blue in the sky, sometimes....

On occasion a puffy cloud floats by or maybe I hear a small bird chirp, but otherwise these winter days are quiet.  If a snowflake falls from the sky, the quiet becomes overwhelming.  It creates a perfect peace in nature, that I don't sense at any other time of the year.

"Silence is the sleep that nourishes wisdom."

Francis Bacon

  13. Brown and gray . . . I'm afraid that is the state you will live in for a few more months, unless you have the pleasure of blue or the difficulty of white.

  18. I do agree with Mr. Bacon.
Sometimes just shut-up and display great wisdom to your friends.

  24. It is a peaceful time of year. I like it because I can usually snatch more moments now than in other times of the year to read, read, read.
