Thankful Thursday

It is dog week here in Smalltownland and today I am thankful for this smart lady.  With us for eleven years now, she could run the farm, and the household, without blinking an eye.  She is always up for adventure and can handle a situation with a healthy dose of Border Collie attitude.

"A dog has a share in man's intelligence, but no share in his falsehood."

  13. A beautiful dog and you are right her breed can take care of anything on the farm. We had one that was a cross with a black lab, a perfect farm dog that I miss greatly. Also a very true quote.

  16. Hi Michelle, Sure like today’s photo. I just returned from visiting some relatives down in Texas and one of the highlights of the trip was their dog. Yes, that’s right, the dog! Ha ha. Well, that’s not a put down on the relatives but the truth of the matter is a really sweet dog can steal your heart. Your Border Collie looks to be that type. Have a great day and thanks, as always, for your kind comments on my blog. John

  31. She's a beautiful Border Collie! They are such hard working smart dogs. I always watch the sheep trials on TV just to watch Border Collies herding and stalking the sheep to their pens.

  33. Border Collies are one of the best, they need plenty of activity for both the brain and the legs.
