A Little Jaunt

We have had some enjoyable weather recently.  At this point a thirty degree day is enjoyable and makes one want to get outside.  I took one of my canine friends for a walk on the farm, as the other three were too busy napping.

It also gave me a chance to break in a new pair of muck boots.

The water was bone chilling cold, but that didn't make any difference to this dog.  It was all about playing in the water.

He also had to take a walk into the cave.  He always does......

We decided to take the shortcut back to the house and scramble up the hillside.  We won't make that mistake again....

With the leaves everywhere, it seemed like fall.

Today, however, we are expecting more winter weather, which includes a combination of snow, sleet, and ice.

Yesterday the temperature was in the sixties.

I am not even sure I can find an appropriate quote for this kind of craziness.

  1. Hi! Thank you for following my blog Michelle. Your walk looks similar to where I go walking with my dogs. I see you have four dogs, they do make good companions don't they! That cave looks intriguing, and I like your blue wellies, just the thing for this weather for ducks!:)

    1. Lynne, only the opening of the cave is wide. It gets very narrow and he cannot go far.

  6. For the first time in what seems like ages the sky was blue for more than half of the day here. Let's just say that I would have taken climbing up the hillside over Greater Paris... :-) Love your photos!

  8. Those look like the same design boots that I have only mine are green. I can't remember the name and I am too lazy to go look but mine were made in the US so I hope they won't blow apart in six months like my old ones did.

  18. I like your boots! I can't think of a more enjoyable time than a walk in the woods. I don't have a dog to venture out with, and my cat would stick her nose in the air at the mere thought of stepping out the door into that SCARY world...but I do like to drag the dh along with me. He's kinda fun to walk with. LOL
