Random Five Friday

Getting your chainsaw stuck in a tree is what happens when you shouldn't have been working on this large tree anyway.......by yourself......Secret Agent Man I am talking to you.

If you need a good laugh, then please check out this link of Brian Williams and Lester Holt working on Rapper's Delight.

Looking to move to a small town?  Here is a nice list to start with.

If you are a fan of Rick Bragg, as am I, then you just might enjoy this story he wrote for G&G magazine.

Might anyone out there know how much I am looking forward to not hearing an alarm clock Saturday morning?

Linking up with Nancy on this fine Friday.

  1. Getting a saw stuck happens to the best of us, I keep an old one in working order to cut myself out of a bind.

  10. Sounds exactly like what my dh would do...in spite of me telling him no. Cause you know that "no": means well heck yeah I will do it, and not only that, I will wait until you are at school and I am alone...then I will climb a rickety ladder and raise the chainsaw over my head to cut a limb that is just out of reach. True story. And yes, he fell, Thank goodness it was only a wrenched knee...it could have been worse. I'm off to check out the rappers delight. Have a fantastic weekend...and keep SAM safe!

  18. Yes, I can relate to not wanting to hear the alarm clock Saturday morning! I'm a *city girl* who moved to a small-er town. Took my hubby's family decades to stop teasing me. :-)

  20. Men! They never seem to learn that they shouldn't do certain things. Happy he didn't get hurt.
Guess my town doesn't qualify as small since we have about 40,000 people here.

  31. I would like to help with that tree if I still remember how to handle that! I never use alarm clocks, except if I have to catch a train or a plane early...
