Simple Scenes

Simple Scenes from my neck of the woods on this Sunday afternoon.

Taken along the back way to our neighboring town, these shots show our dreary weather.

Even with the gray skies, Robins were in our yard yesterday.

I was very surprised to see them, but they did give me a bit of hope for spring.

More snow in the forecast this afternoon and tonight.

That means I have time to bake a recipe out of the Magnolia Bakery Cookbook.

I am going to try and enjoy this downtime while it lasts.

  2. Those are very artfully framed photos, my friend. Like pen and ink drawings. We've had snow for three days then it's now freezing rain and sleet. Poor daffodils that were up 5 inches! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  3. Look purdy with the dusting of snow on the ground. Do you normally get snow?

    1. Daniel, we don't usually get much snow in the winter season. Typically we might be out of school a couple of days. We have missed 8 days thus far. Snow in the forecast about twice a week this season. Crazy for us!

  31. Beautiful photos. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to winter in a place that didn't get cold, snowy, dreary weather. I would probably miss the changing of the seasons, but I'd still like to try it some year.
