Random Five Friday

A small, and very old, church located on the side of one tiny county road.

Once upon a time I had a serving of Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding, with whiskey sauce, that was all that and then some.  Here is an article about a Krispy Kreme Brulee, with the accompanying recipe.  You are welcome.

How about a little Lyle Lovett on this fine Friday?  I say, that man has some hair.

A visit to the historic Makers Mark Distillery is an event itself, but here is just one more reason that you need to mark this off of your to-do list.

Rain is headed our way this weekend.  I have to say that I am glad it is not snow.

Linking up with Nancy today!

  5. Michelle,
I know where your "glad it's not snow" ended up! We have enough accumulation to cover the ground.

I like your picture and edit. Looks like you had a beautiful day to take pictures.

  14. What a great look old country church.
Lyle Lovett does have the hair. I found an old People Magazine in our basement from 1993 the other day that had his & Julia Roberts wedding picture in it. I think she improved her 2nd time around.
Stop...I'm not sure I could handle the Crème Brulee, I'm suppose to be trying to not eat as much sweets.
Enjoy your rain...maybe the rain we're having is wafting it's way to you as we are supposed to clear off come Monday. I hope so.

  16. Love the beautiful photo - such a simple old church. Thank you for the recipe link - I have it written down - it will be death by cholesterol this weekend for me! Dale Chihuly is from my neck of the woods - his museum is in Tacoma, WA, next to the art museum. He has a similar display by the waterfront, but I have to say it looks much more spectacular over those beautiful old beams. It is raining here, too. What else is new - it's always raining here. :) We have 'sun-breaks'. Hope you have a good weekend, Michelle. xo Karen

  26. Lovely church! I was thinking "I will not share the Makers Mark link with my husband" until I clicked on it - now I think we'd both have a blast at this tour - love that glass! As much as I dislike rain, I'm happy that's what we're getting this weekend, too!
