Thankful Thursday

The road leading me out of my farm and into civilization.

Afoot and light-hearted I take to the open road,
Healthy, free, the world before me,
The long brown path before me leading wherever I choose.

Song of the Open Road
Walt Whitman

Thankful this Thursday for honey mustard pretzel pieces, hot coffee, and clothes that don't require the use of an iron.

Did I mention hot coffee?

  4. This is the view leading you into civilization? How lucky are you!?!

That comment about hot coffee (my lifeblood!) and clothes that don't require ironing struck home. For many years I only wore ironed shirts from 100% cotton and suits from wool worsted, because clothes from manmade fabrics were hideous. But, now I only buy non iron shirts, whether dress shirts or Drytec golf shirts. They look great, drape great and require no care beyond hanging after washing. Hurrah!
