The Boy and the Girl

Last night was the first softball game of the season for our girl's middle school team.

The young lady of the house did a fine job pitching.

I have been watching her pitch all these years and never realized what a face she makes.

Two games played and both games were a win.  A fine job by all of the players.

And. what. do. you. know.

I finally got the son in the kayak for a picture.  Mind you it was all of thirty seconds.....

Maybe less......

  11. Oh the memories! I played softball back in the day. I couldn't pitch, but I was a speedy shortstop. Gosh that was forever and a day ago.

  12. Great extension on those pitches! But I don't think I have ever seen a softball field with a completely dirt infield before, and Susie played softball for maybe ten years. (Sorry, Michelle, that is the best you are going to get from Mr. Sullen until he is in his early 20s and returns to the living.)

  25. I'm not sure he loves the kayak on grass . . . . In addition to the male teams, I've been enjoying some girls' basketball on TV. They've come a long way, baby.
